Cities are extremely exciting to visit. Due to their culture, their people, their gastronomy and much more that there is to see and do. I am crazy about city trips and they are perfect for a long weekend away. These trips always keep you active and moving, they are not specifically to relax and gain your energies. Actually they cost a lot of energy.. however they can definitely make you disconnect from daily life and inspire you.

I personally love islands! In summer it is the perfect place to be. With a nice seabreeze, waving palm trees and bounty beaches. Even to escape winter they are the best choice to energize and to reconnect with your inner self again.

Mallorca, Spain

Mallorca is part of Spain and located in the Mediterranean Sea. Together with the other islands Ibiza, Menorca and Formentera they form the Balearic Islands. Lanzarote, Canary Islands

Lanzarote is a volcanic Island, next to Africa and part of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. The capital on the island is called Arrecife and provides the only airport on the island. In 1993, the island was a biosphere reserve by UNESCO. It has a subtropical-desert climate and even in winter it has very comfortable temperatures. Lanzarote contains volcanic grounds and therefore the island is black. Quite a spectacular contrast. There are not as many sandy beaches as the other Canarian islands. Many of the shoresides are rocks or the grounds are covered with stones. Apart from some palmtrees and plants, you will not find too much vegetation. However, the caves, the variation in colors and the nature this island has to offer makes it an extraordinary place to visit. You either love it, or hate it.. ;)
